Convertible or Stage Cribs These are larger than standard cribs and allow the sides to be removed, so they can be converted in to a toddler bed, they can be a good choice as they have a long life span. Travel Cribs/Cots Are you showing your newborn around a great travel accessory is the travel crib these will fold up small and enable you to transport; they usually have removable, washable matrices. Toddler Beds The toddler bed is in between the crib and a standard bed, they are idea if a second child is on the way, the bed can be used with a cribs standard mattress, the toddler bed are not essential but will make a great addition if you don’t want a convertible or stage crib. If you’re looking for a changing table try to find ones with guard rails for extra security. Try to buy one before the babies born as this will save you struggling when looking after the baby. If you’re not happy spending money on changing table, a chest of draws at the right height can be used. The top needs to be large enough for the changing mat and have good sized draws for storage. Chest of draws As some people will double them up for a changing table, see if you can buy one with a back guard on the back, usual a chest of draws with three levels of draws will be a good height. Combo tower Again a good choice of these will last a long time; the great thing about combo towers is their versatility as your little ones will not always be little. A good combo tower will offer a changing area with storage. Look for a combo tower that can be changed in to a dress or even a book case. Armoires If your baby has a big room then an armoire might be for you, these can be bought in a range of styles and wood, these can be a great compliment to large rooms, with their huge storage space and will last from baby to child.
