How to Countersink For you to start you will need a good drill, I like having a cordless drill, its portable and quick, and a selection of combined drill and countersink bits. Fix your work in position securely either wit a clamp or vice. Mark you work were you need to countersink. Select the correct countersink hole dimension Adjust the depth of the drill on the counter sing to the size of the screw to be used.

Drill down on the mark and at 90 degrees to you work. Make sure you drill clockwise

Drill and countersink so that the screws head will below the surface of the wood.

When you fell you have drilled further anouth down pull up the drill and countersink to see if you will need re drilling.

Select the right screw driver and screw downwards till the screw is firmly in the timber.

Well done and repeat if necessary.
