Tips for Great Nursery Designs (and avoid frustration)







Weather your nursery designs is large or a small use its space to create a functional nursery that’s proportional to its size. Designing you nursery will be a fun and fore-filling experience.

Forming the shape of the room

Break up the nursery to have cosy sections, for instance think of the areas in your lounge, you have a different area for the sofa, TV and furniture for different functions. Section the nursery so one side is for sleeping, dressing and changing and the other for feeding and playing. Add a soft rug to the center of each area of a nursery to enhance the room’s separation.

Save time in the future

With babies constantly growing select furniture that will suite the later years, chose design and colors that won’t easily get out dated, saving you money and your precious time.

A Nursery with soft Lighting

Nursery’s need to be lit with soft tones, halogen lighting will be too much so use a centralised light with a full light shade that covers the bulb, stopping bright light.Use table lamps with soft tone lights to create shadows in to the room, night lights are an excellent purchase for bed times.

Watching the wall color

Colorful wall decor will attract the baby’s attention, create a room with soft light colors then add focal points of color within pictures, stencils and murals, making stimulating parts of the room for your baby to enjoy.

Add colourful toy and decorations

Baby’s respond to color then shapes, use colourful and vivid patterns with mobiles and toys, place these above a crib, around changing and feeding areas.

Seating for two

Invest in comfy oversized char or a two seated sofa, creating a loving place to feed and nurture your baby and take the weight of your busy feet.
