Nursery Dressers that are not a one time investment

“All you need to do is follow this site
to decide which of all the nursery dressers is best for you.”

Choosing the wrong nursery dresser will be a costly mistake. Surly you don’t need the hassle or going out shopping, spending, building another baby dresser? Buying furniture for a new born is costly, so here your find advice showing you what to look out for on nursery dressers that will expand its life and grow with your baby.

Firstly choose a dresser that will have a long life span, we don’t recommend buying juvenile dresser as these will be out grown quickly.

The dressed should stand between 34 – 36 inches so that its height can be used comfortably as a changing table.

Making your nursery dressers double up as dresser changing table

When you have bought your dresser there is two options to turn it in to a changing area.

The first is to add a contoured pad, the contoured pad mounts on the dresser and it works buy the snaps attaching to the back of the dresser and stop if from moving around.

As you can see by the picture the pad is contoured. the foam is molded this way to support your baby when changing , and stopping them from rolling out.

The good thing about the countered pad is that it can be removed; the pads are portable and can be used in other rooms or be taken when you travel. The pad creates a safe area to change your baby and protects the area underneath.

Flip Top

The other alternative to the contoured pad is the flip top; the flip top is a relatively new product and allows your baby to be changed vertically as opposed to horizontally.

Using a contour pad on a dresser, some people find it difficult to change there baby at this angle. The flip top allows the baby to be changed facing you, allowing easier access to change the baby’s diapers.

When the flip top is no longer needed it can be unscrewed from the back of the dresser and used as a regular dresser, ready to grow with your child.

Adding another function to your wooden dressers

If you are limited for space or would like the full use of the dresser, and don’t have a room for a book case the alternative is to add a hutch.

This will go on top of the dresser and convert for a place to store all the picture and books for the baby.

The dresser and hutch can be also used as a changing area for the baby, by placing a countered pad on top of the dresser. If you’re using this as a changing area, we recommend removing the bottom shelf so you do not knock the baby’s head while you are lifting on to the pad.
